Time is running out.
With the February 14, 2026 deadline approaching and nearly 800 Falcon 50/900/2000 series aircraft affected, capacity and competence may be in short supply. Luckily, you can count on Thornton Aviation for both. Our skilled team can get you in, out and on your way.

Why the mandate?
Falcon 50/900/2000 series aircraft require a wing tank modification to create an additional dry bay area. Per Dassault Aviation, following the rare occurrences of high-speed runway excursions, analysis of the subsequent wing damage has identified that a potential fuel spill can occur on the aircraft. To prevent such a fuel spill, Dassault Aviation issued a Service Bulletin (S/B) to modify the wing design.
Affected aircraft
Falcon 50/50EX (S/B 496)
Falcon 900A (S/B 388)
Falcon 900B (S/B 388)
Falcon 900C (S/B 388)
Falcon 900EX (S/B 329)
Falcon 900LX (S/B 329)
Falcon 900DX (S/B 329)
Falcon 900EX EASy (S/B 329)
Falcon 2000 (S/B 358)
Falcon 2000EX (S/B 171)
Falcon 2000DX (S/B 171)
Falcon 2000EX EASy (S/B 171)
Scope of work
Thornton Aviation’s structural repair experts add a sealed boundary from fuel to a small part of the wing near the wheel well, between ribs No. 4 and 5 in front of the rear spar. This results in an increased dry bay area which reduces the risk of a fuel spill. It is recommended (but not necessary) that the modification be performed in conjunction with a major "C" interval inspection.
