When every minute matters
Sea Aviation’s aircraft support transplant logistics nationwide, carrying organs and medical personnel to destinations where timing is critical. The operation currently flies two Hawker 800XPs, with a third planned and a long-term goal of expanding to as many as 10 aircraft.

The Sea Aviation team provides full-service medical transport solutions.
Located next to Sea Aviation at Van Nuys, Thornton Aviation supports the fleet with day-to-day maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled work, inspections, AOG response and upgrades—including a Wi-Fi installation. That proximity and responsiveness help keep each aircraft ready for the next call.
“Their communication is fantastic,” said Michael Harkins, Sea Aviation aircraft asset manager. “They’re calling me, texting me, emailing me—whatever it takes. I always know the status of the airplane or the inspection.”
That responsiveness matters after hours, too. In one urgent situation, an organ was already on its way when an aircraft needed immediate attention at 2 a.m. Hector Jimenez, Thornton Aviation’s director of maintenance, responded and resolved the issue. The aircraft launched 10 minutes later.
No matter what you fly or what services you need, Thornton Aviation has got you covered.

“Everything is time critical. You see all this play out step by step. The aircraft fires up, they get where they need to go, and hopefully you save a life in the process.”
